Principal's Message

Thank you for attending Back to School Night last week.  We appreciate your participation and this year, more than ever, it is important that we build a strong partnership between families and teachers.  If you weren’t able to attend, please be sure to look through your teacher’s slides or recorded presentation so you know what to expect for the coming year. Or reach out to your child’s teachers directly.  

Mr. Domer’s Office Hours will be on Tuesdays at noon for one hour.  Stop in at any time. This Tuesday will be my first session.  Please join me for anything you might want to discuss or anything you need help with.  I am happy to simply connect.  Zoom link below:

Call for Yearbook Photos

We are looking for some fun pictures to include in this year’s Yearbook. We are going to realy on families to send in some fun Distance Learning Picures that capute the year. 

Please have the photo labeled with the students' name. Here are some categories we were thinking of:

  • First Day of School
  • At Home Learning Environments
  • Me and My Emotional Support Animal
  • Quarantine Cuts
  • or Shelter In Place Hair Styles
  • Social Distance Vacations

Picture Day Information

SEPTEMBER 15TH IS "NO CONTACT" PICTURE DAY!

Student pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 15th.  An email will be sent to you to for online photo package options if you are interested in purchasing one.  

If you are not planning to purchase a package, your child will still need to have their picture taken for the yearbook and their student ID.

We have set up a schedule for students to come to school where we can still practice social distancing.  Masks will be required when on campus.  We ask that you follow the below schedule to help us maintain our Covid-19 requirements.  If you have a problem with your scheduled time, please let Vickie know, so she can fit you in another slot.

The PTA Reflections Art Program has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education. 

Use the arts to share your personal Reflections on this year’s theme: I Matter Because

Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

Reflections Theme Search 2022-2023

The Reflections Theme Search is determined by the National PTA Reflections Theme Search Contest which is selected two years in advance.  Opens on September 1st and closes on November 1st to California State PTA.  Students may submit as multiple ideas however each idea must have its own entry form.  It may be submitted via postal mail (entry form is attached) or online starting September 1st visit

Healthy  Cities Tutoring - Become a Tutor!   Orientation and Training 9/15/20 

Join our community of volunteers who range in age from 14-96 and provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to students for 30-45 minutes per week to improve their academic performance, engagement in learning, and self-esteem. This year with distance learning we are seeking volunteers willing to be trained in tutoring a student remotely once a week. We expect the need to grow this year and hope you or someone you know will get involved in this rewarding volunteer experience. 

If you are interested in learning more, please mark your calendar for our annual new tutor orientation & training which will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, September 15. There are two identical sessions, 10:00-11:00 am OR 7:00-8:00 pm. Please RSVP via the links to attend whichever time is most convenient for you.
