You're going to change the world! Tell us how! Use art, music, film, photography, dance, or writing to express how you're going to change the world! One winner in each category will continue to the District competition and from there winners advance to State and National levels. Join Central's legacy of creative success by submitting your unique voice in this mutli-arts contest!
The PTSA’s Reflections Art Contest is a great opportunity for Central students to display their creativity in one of the 6 categories:
Visual Arts, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, Photography, and Film Production.
Each entry must reflect this year’s theme, I Will Change the World By… which allows broad interpretation for you to create a really personal reflection in your chosen category!
All submissions will be celebrated next semester in an exhibit with the winners of each category continuing on to the District competition and potentially going on to State then Nationals.
Entries will be submitted digitally – click here for the submission form.
Note: For the Visual Arts category, entries will be submitted digitally AND original art must be submitted to Vicki Gamez firstname.lastname@example.org at the office.

The PTA Reflections Arts Program provides an opportunity for student creative work, inspired by a designated theme, to be recognized at the local, district, state, and national levels.
Students may submit original artwork in one of six areas:
- Film production
- Music composition
- Visual arts
For any questions, please contact Devora Kothari email@example.com
All work should be specifically created for this competition with this theme.
Artworks are submitted first to school-level PTAs, where they are recognized, celebrated and judged by four grade-level divisions, while a non-judged Special Artists division celebrates student artists with special needs. Participants will receive a certificate of participation and a printed booklet of the writing and imagery of the show. A copy of this booklet and a show of the artwork and literature will go in the school library. A reception will be held after the new year, where videos and music will be on view as well.
School PTAs then choose a selection of entries to be judged by local PTA units, which are then sent on to councils and then districts for consideration. The final artworks submitted to California State PTA by districts are then considered for Awards of Excellence or Awards of Merit. Award of Excellence entries then go on to represent California in the final National PTA judging round.
